JOHN KRASINSKI

Many of us would know John Krasinski from the hit sitcom "The Office" as Jim. But like Jordan Peele, Krasinski also mastered both  the comedy and the horror genre. Krasinski is both an actor and director, with his latest acting endeavor being "Jack Ryan" on prime video. Krasinski as a director on the other hand has made four movies, but two of them stand out, which were not only critically acclaimed but also revolutionary horror movies.

A Quiet Place (2018) was a breath of fresh air, a newly renovated concept of using silence as means of terrifying the viewer. Krasinski in both movies does a spectacular job, he very quickly establishes the panic in the story and beautifully makes the audience enter the world of the characters, it feels like you are in that world watching the characters trying to survive, and whenever there is any sound in the movie, both the audience and the characters feel a sense of panic.

Over the years Krasinski's sensitive direction delved into the complexities of human relationships and capturing emotional intricacies. "A Quiet Place" was the movie that brought Krasinski into directorial stardom.

Krasinski's innovative use of silence in the movie builts tension and produces an immersive experience in his horror-thriller, which is set in a world where sound-sensitive creatures terrorise people. Both critics and viewers connected with his use of visual storytelling and his emphasis on family connections in a post-apocalyptic context, making him a director to keep an eye on. Krasinski stands out in modern cinema because of his distinctive approach, which combines intriguing stories with emotional depth.

"A Quiet Place 2", the second instalment in the series was also admired by both critics and the audience. A sequel, that was made with the same passion and had even more heart. It is gripping and has higher stakes. The movie explores the incidents leading to the apocalyptic world and emphasizes more on the monsters in the movie. The film explores survival, family bond and courage. It introduces Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou, with Emily Blunt delivering a brilliant performance.

With the third installment in the works with extremely talented actors like Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn and Emily Blunt, it's the best time to start with Krasinski's horror masterpieces.
